EU's General Data Protection Regulation Update 1

This email was sent to everyone on the mailing list on 3 May 2018

A new piece of EU legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), requires The O’Donoghue Society to have explicit consent to send you emails.  So please email me at rod@odonoghue.co.uk to confirm that you wish to remain on the Society mailing list.  If I do not hear from you it will be necessary for me to delete you from the list.

We only hold the minimum information needed to send the emails, and you can request to be removed from the mailing list at any time by emailing me at the above address.

To find out more about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can read a guide on the Information Commissioner's Office website here https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/-

There are some researchers whose email addresses are rejected for many different reasons – unfortunately these exceed 20% of the mailing list. An item has been placed on the web site homepage to ask any researcher to contact me if they have not received this message.
